The mastered version of David Shankle Group's debut album arrived at the Magic Circle Music offices! The album is SO powerful that when it was being listened at the office, the speakers of the stereo felt on the ground! The personnel of Magic Circle Music and Joey DeMaio (who was also listening to the album at this moment) are very excited and informed the WWWW that everyone should be prepared for some real energy! ********************************************************** Official Manowar Webzine news : ** This last week, we've had problems with the Official Fanchat, because we moved to another server. Alone in Germany about 75.000 people will have enjoyed the 2-hours show by the end of this week with the biggest production for the band ever. 4 bandmembers, 4 trucks, 4 Harleys and 4 coaches and nearly 45 people gave pure entertainment to the crowds. BUT - to give you the best news for today: The current single "The Dawn Of Battle"/"I Believe" moved up again to #50 in its 4th week and the Top 2 album "Warriors Of The World" today re-entered the charts at #66 after being out of the charts for a few weeks following a most amazing chart-history of 18 weeks in the German charts. And - to finish this good-news-mail please note the following: - during their Cologne Show on Dec. 6, German TV host Stefan Raab entered the stage and the band performed a metal version of his song "Gebt das Hanf frei". After that he played the hitsong "Warriors Of The World United" with the band. - the video for the new single "I Belive" has been added to the Hot Recurrent Rotation on VIVA. "Warriors Of The World Tour 2002", it is time for an update: The third and brand new single "The Dawn Of Battle/I Believe" has just entered the German single charts at #44 (!!). The video for "I Believe" has been shot on 35 mm in the Czech Republic with the support of thousands of fans at one of the first shows of the tour. It has now been accepted at VIVA for continous plays in the show "Fast Forward" and in the "Rockgenre" on VIVAplus. Also you can vote for more plays on www.vivaplus.tv. MTV has accepted the video for their "Rockzone". The band has just completed a new appearance for the legendary "Top Of The Pops" which will be aired this Saturday, Nov. 30 on German RTL, coinciding with the first German show that same day in Trier. RELEASE - DATE : November 18, 2002 They still keep surprising you. For example, we are organising a contest and ask the band for some prices to give away. What's the answer : well, " the winner will be our support - act on the Mega Fanconvention next year ". I mean, WHICH band is doing things like this ? And then all of a sudden the phone rings : " our next single includes " Call to Arms " and I'm going to write 2 new songs for it " ..... You're speechless for a bit, because you've just seen the intense process of the making of " Warriors of the World " and than they go back into the studio and record 2 brandnew songs ! I'm listening now for 2,5 weeks to them and they just go on repeat in my stereo: THE DAWN OF BATTLE ( 6:40 min. ) : Yeah, I have to admit that these kind of songs are my favorite Manowar songs : fast, raw, aggressive. " ... bravery calls my name ... " The song hits in right away, faster than light ! Eric performs great again in this song, great guitar - lines. Brilliant part in the middle, when the song slows down, .... to continue more aggressive again ! " .... and I will fight, yes I will fight, in the Dawn of Battle ". I BELIEVE ( 4:07 min.) : This song gives you the feeling what you'll get when you listen to " Carry On " etc. A typical song you will scream your lungs out when they play this live. Unfortunately, recently all Official Manowar fansites, part of the WWWW, had to take down their forums and the Swiss site also their guestbook. We regret this very much, but in both occasions it was not possible any longer to keep it online. Concerning the forum, an individual posted a rumor about the band that was harming the band. And concerning the guestbook, a person posted news about the new single much earlier than planned by the band. Of course, we cannot let people use our webspace for this, but we also feel very sorry for the big group of fans who liked the forums and the guestbook, we try to find a solution. In the meanwhile, there are lots of possibilities to participate in the WWWW :

 MANOWAR – "The Dawn Of Battle" To announce the start of the WARRIORS OF THE WORLD TOUR 2002/2003 – the undisputed Kings Of Metal will release the third single from the album "Warriors Of The World". "Warriors Of The World" received a tremendous uplift of 20 (!) positions into the Top 40 again to #33 (53) This enourmous success was basically caused by the outstanding and groundbreaking performances by the band during the Popkomm last week and the outragous promotional output followed afterwards. The band not only performed the song "An American Trilogy" on the SAT1 prime time TV-show "Popkomm Gala" together with a 30 people string orchestra and choir and was received with standing ovations by thousands in the Cologne Arena, but also performed the second single track "The Fight for Freedom" on the most legendary "Top Of The Pops" show, which will be partly aired this Saturday on RTL. Also the band did a pressconference at the Popkomm including the announcement of the upcoming German tourdates (please see below). This tour will be presented by both VIVA and VIVAplus, WOM-World Of Music and HAMMER and will bring the band to 15 cities throughout Germany and in December. Furthermore the band will tour the rest of Europe from Oct. 6th onwards. Dates will be anounced very soon. In addition to a humorous appearance on the VIVA "Comet" show the band entered the VIVA stage in the middle of Cologne center for a nearly one-hour live show. 26.000 (!!!) people were headbanging in front of the stage and made this event to a classic and unique event. Also the sound restrictions/limits could not quite be fulfilled the authorities and presenters of the Ringfest were more than pleased with the concert and it's outcome. Marking the 25th anniversary of Elvis Presley's untimely death on August 16, MANOWAR pay tribute to the rock's first King with "An American Trilogy", a highlight of Presley's live shows and a dramatic high point of "Warriors Of The World". The second song on the single is "The Fight For Freedom" dedicated by the band to all who were lost to the world on September 11, 2001. MANOWAR "Warriors Of The World" still is Top 40 in the German Album charts at #39 in the 8th week, the album had also a massive uplift in the Swedish charts to #45 (from #79!) and is still Top 15 in Greece. Top 2 album "Warriors Of The World" continues to be in the top league of the German charts at #17 in its fourth week while the hitsingle "Warriors Of The World United" goes to #68 in the German single charts. The album has entered the Chech album charts at #37, is at #52 in Austria, #54 in Norway, #85 in Switzerland top 40 in Italy and at #28 in Sweden. The single is still Top 5 in the German Alternative DJ-Charts as well as in the Metal-DJ Charts. The Video is #3 in the VIVAplus Rockcharts in it's 10th week. And with all these good news it is easy to swim into the next phase for this album by releasing the new single "An American Trilogy / Fight For Freedom" on August 19. With this single the band pays tribute to the King Of Rock - Elvis Presley - who's 25th anniversary of Death will be honored on Aug 16. To coincide with this event the Kings of Metal have been confirmed to perform that song on the German SAT1-prime time TV show "Popkomm-Gala" !!!!!!! on August 16, 2002 in Cologne with a spectactular setup. The reaction for the new album has been nothing than sensational around the world, so it is no surprise that we have some more great chart action to report for the other countries: The album went up in the Swedish charts to #13 (19), in Italy to #31 (42), in Finnland to #17 (26) stay in the Top 15 in Austria at 11 (6) , is #25 in Spain (more or less there are only spanish acts on higher positions), #40 in France and we are waiting for a new swiss chartposition as well. By taking over the position #17 the hitsingle "WARRIORS OF THE WORLD UNITED" by MANOWAR continues to stay in the official Top 20 in Germany for the 4th week now! The single reaches #1 in the German DJ metal charts, entered the German DJ Alternative Charts at #4 and the video has been nailed to the top position of the VIVAplus Rockcharts. Also - only one week before the release of the long awaited album "Warriors Of The World" it has been voted #2 in the Rock Hard Magazine's soundcheck and received a 12 (out of 12) star review in the new issue of Visions magazine, only to mention a few good stories..... The album will hit the stores next week and will be promoted by the Kings of Metal themselves by an autograph signing at SATURN/Cologne on May 28th as well as an autograph signing plus short live set at the world's biggest electronic store - SATURN in Hamburg on May 30. Also the single is #2 in the GDJ Rockcharts (German DJ charts), # 13 in Finland, entered the Swiss charts at #90 and the video is #1 on the VIVAplus Rockcharts! New MANOWAR album also available on SACD (Super Audio CD) Again MANOWAR - the Kings Of Metal - prove to be pioneers in technology. MANOWAR will be the first heavy metal band ever to have their newest album "Warriors Of The World" released not only on CD and vinyl but also on the new audio format Super Audio CD (SACD) , developed by Philips who also invented the Compact Disc in the 80's. A lot of hot updates today!
First of all we have added 2 new articles to the Fan Corner's sub-section With Pen And Ink. The first one is an exclusive review of the upcoming full-length Manowar album Warriors Of The World, containing to date unpublished information about the CD. Read it here.
