ERIC ADAMS ON THE HAMMER COUCH

Even on the Hammer-divan, the voice of MANOWAR Eric Adams, paints as usual with both hands the town red. If one should believe all of his sayings is a different matter.

What memories do you likely associate with your childhood?

My father going hunting with me: he took me on his shoulders and put me carefully down when he spotted a game and went deerstalking. I kept my love for the forests till today. As soon as the time allows I go hunting like my dad did with me.

What was the most scurrile job you ever did?

Once I worked as a butcher. One day I was supposed to deliver 2 sheeps for a ritual-religious devotement. It ended with finding myself again on a cemetary in the middle of the night...

Four terms: love, money, stardom, friends. Which of these is the most important one for you and why?

If you love somebody then he's your best friend at the same time. Therefore definitely: friends. Money and stardom are fading. Friends stay with your through your whole life.

What was your worst love/relationship experience?

Once I got involved with that witch: at the beginning everything was okay, but when I wanted to leave the hell broke loose. She could not let me go and stalked me so besetting that I had to change my phone number and since then I check in under false names in hotels.

Which one was the best?

An angel living south from Stuttgart. She knows, who she is. Enough said...

Last record you bought/got?

BELIEVE from Disturbed.

Your most favourite album of all times?

Deep Purple: MADE IN JAPAN.

Favourite meal?

A lot. Currently strawberries.

When was the last time you've been drunk?

Right now I am too drunk to remember.

When was the last time you danced in a club/disco and to what?

Never!

Last time you wanted something and did not get it?

I always take what I want - provided that I desire something or someone with all my heart.

Last time you've been involved in a brawl?

Don't remember. Hicks... Sorry.

Did you ever want to kill somebody? If so, why?

Yes - Andreas Schoewe: Because he gave me this shitty questionnaire with an innocent look in his eyes that I have to fill in now.

Have you ever think aboout suicide? And why (not) ?

No. I would miss sex too much.

When and where did you have your first sex?

I was 15-year-old and she was hired as a babysitter. And then I walked in... Actually it was a pretty unspectaculary story.

And your last sex?

One hour ago.

What was your worst nightmare?

I was on stage and forgot the lyrics of "Black Wind, Fire and Steel". And Joey was approaching at high speed with his bass play to my part. In my panic I had a comeplete dropout.

What was the most embarassing moment of your life?

I got a new outfit tailored for the show. In my ebullient joy when it was delivered I got it on right away and stormed the stage. Unfortunately especially the pants were supposed only for a try-on and so the joints were only temporary. They bursted pretty quick - and the people in the frontrow got the pleasure to see my blank balls.

Where did you spend your last holidays?

On Hawaii. Fantastic!

Somebody gives you 100 Euro. What would you buy for it on the spur of the moment?

Drinks at the next bar.

What do you have in your pocket right now?

A phone and money. Not to forget the notes with phone numbers some girls gave me last night.

Whom would you like to see sitting next to your on your bed and why?

The girl who is sitting next to me right now. Sex is simply damn good! And right now I believe in the saying that nothing is impossible.

What car do you drive and why?

Anything with four wheels that can bring me into forests.

Your biggest wish not fulfilled yet?

To finally finish Schoene's questionnaire...

How would you introduce your band to an alien?

If they had ears I would advise them to put ear-plugs into their auditory canals. It would be significant enough then.
