November 30, 2002 - Messeparkhalle - Trier, Germany

The hall was already pretty full as the death metal guys of Bludgeon opened the show. The Band had a good, clear and loud sound and a really good singer.

They played classic death metal, which I personaly liked. But the crowd was passive. But after a long break, finally at 21.45 the time has come: The Kings Of Metal entered the stage. They started with MANOWAR and the crowd started moving. Then surprisingly SIGN OF THE HAMMER, yeah, yeah, yeah. I couldn't remember the setlist exactly, but who cares. After KINGS OF METAL they played KILL WITH POWER. The crowd was in a rage, everybody went along DIE DIE!!! Fantastic. Erics voice was really good that evening and Joey and Karl tormented the people with their guitars (Yes, yes till the ears start bleeding). After WARRIORS OF THE WORLD and another song (?), they played the monster song HAIL AND KILL. Man, the crowd went totally crazy, everyone was banging and singing, totally awesome. If it went on that way the concert would have been perfect, but the fu****g people just stood there and... stood there. What's up? Manowar did such a great show... and the crowd? SHIT. Only here and there you could see a moshpit, but then a real one.

They played 4 more accoustic songs: The shocker!!!! HERZ AUS STAHL, MASTER OF THE WIND, COURAGE, SWORDS IN THE WIND!! Guys, the ones who were not there can bite their own asses. I never experienced such a great show. And Eric's voice... CRAZY... everybody sang with him. It was unforgetable, legendary. At the end they played BLACK WIND FIRE AND STEEL. That was the show in Trier.

My fazit: MANOWARLIVE = NONPLUSULTRAPLUSULTRA
